As a little girl, Liane spent many hours singing with her 2 sisters to her mom's favorite albums for days on end. After losing her mom at the precious age of 10, she found herself searching for "The Meaning of Life". Music was her answer. She had an ear for harmonies and melodies, so singing became an outlet.
After graduating high school, she packed her bags and moved to the big city leaving Haverhill, Massachusettes and heading for Los Angeles. Liane has been performing in LA for 10 years and has paired up with such stars as Jewel and Jeff Goldblum (betcha didn't know he could sing andact.) You can also find her singing with The Lads from time to time and accenting The Jillian Speer Band with her harmonies and percussion.
Her influences are as great as they are diverse. While inspired in her early years by such artists as Pat Benetar, Roger Miller (and other Big Band greats), Bonnie Raitt, Aretha Franklin and of course, The Beatles, she’ll always have a soft spot for U2. "The truth is, I love all music. It's the universal language. It’s how I think we can communicate with everyone to make a difference. I Love to perform, I love to make people smile. When I am singing, I can feel it. I just love to play."
Liane Lucia is currently recording her debut CD. When she’s not in the studio, playing her own gigs or teaching yoga you can find her performing with various other artists, making beautiful music for the world to enjoy.
